The journey began in 1994 with the establishment of the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Charitable and Educational Trust, founded on a humble dream—to empower aspiring students, especially from rural and semi-urban communities of Tamil Nadu, with knowledge, skills, and opportunities.

From these modest beginnings, the Trust steadily expanded its horizons, establishing institutions in medicine, engineering, arts and sciences, agriculture, pharmacy, nursing, and allied health sciences. Each institution grew into more than just a place of learning, becoming a beacon of opportunity that shaped thousands of young minds with the confidence and competence to realize their aspirations.

This legacy of growth and service culminated in 2021 with the establishment of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University (DSU) at Tiruchirappalli, under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Private Universities Act, 2019. Conceived as a comprehensive, multidisciplinary university, DSU carries forward the strength of its parent Trust while embracing a bold vision for the future—fostering innovation, nurturing global leaders, and contributing meaningfully to society.
