The journey of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University (DSU) reflects vision, perseverance, and a deep commitment to accessible, quality education. It began in 1994 with the establishment of the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Charitable and Educational Trust, founded by Shri. A. Srinivasan Avl, to empower students from rural and semi-urban communities across Tamil Nadu. Guided by a mission to create opportunity through education, the Trust steadily expanded, establishing institutions in medicine, engineering, arts and sciences, agriculture, pharmacy, nursing, and allied health sciences.

Over time, these institutions evolved into vibrant centers of learning, shaping thousands of students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue meaningful careers. This legacy of academic excellence and service culminated in 2021 with the establishment of DSU at Tiruchirappalli under the Tamil Nadu Private Universities Act, 2019. Conceived as a multidisciplinary university, DSU integrates tradition with innovation, fostering research, leadership, and global engagement.

Among its campuses, the Chengalpattu Campus stands out for its modern infrastructure and student-centric environment. Today, DSU continues to uphold its founding values of excellence, inclusivity, innovation, and service, preparing future leaders to contribute responsibly and transform society.
